(TJV) Far-left New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani caused chaos at the New York State Capitol on Wednesday, physically confronting law enforcement while leading a mob of radical protesters in defense of Mahmoud Khalil, a green card holder arrested for promoting Hamas propaganda at Columbia University.

Mamdani, a self-proclaimed socialist and open-border extremist, shoved against New York State Police officers as he screamed incoherently at Border Czar Tom Homan, who was visiting Albany to meet with Republican lawmakers. Footage shows troopers restraining Mamdani as he aggressively pressed his chest against them, demanding to know how many more “New Yorkers” Homan would “detain.” Despite his physical confrontation with law enforcement, Mamdani was not arrested.

The protest, packed with unhinged leftists waving pro-Palestinian signs, erupted in outrage over the federal government’s attempt to deport Khalil, who was arrested at Columbia University after leading anti-Israel demonstrations in 2024. Authorities labeled his rhetoric as “pro-Hamas”, raising concerns over national security threats within radical activist movements.

Homan, unbothered by the mob, delivered a strong message about enforcing the law and keeping Americans safe. “Sanctuary cities are going to get exactly what they don’t want: more agents in the community,” he stated. “Rather than one officer arresting a bad guy, now I have to send a whole team.”

Mamdani’s meltdown and physical aggression toward law enforcement raise serious concerns about his fitness to lead America’s largest city. His defense of a pro-Hamas agitator, coupled with his open hostility toward the rule of law, highlight the radical left’s dangerous priorities—protecting extremists over everyday New Yorkers.

Mamdani’s latest outburst cements his status as an unhinged, anti-law enforcement radical who stands with extremists over the safety and security of law-abiding citizens.
