One dead, four wounded in suspected terrorist attack in central Israel

According to emerging reports, the shootings occurred in two or three locations on Highway 4 near Yavne, between Ashdod and Tel Aviv.
Images purportedly of the terrorist shot dead in the middle of the road were circulating online. Magen David Adom and United Hatzalah emergency rescue volunteers were on the scene of the attack providing initial treatment to the injured.
The 30-year-old man was critically wounded at the Yavne interchange, according to MDA. He was transported to Assuta Hospital in Ashdod, with the medical center announcing that he succumbed to his wounds.

A 42-year-old was moderately injured by glass shards from gunfire striking his vehicle at the Nir Galim junction and transported for medical treatment, according to MDA. Channel 12 reported that he suffered injuries to his upper body and was being treated at Assuta.
Channel 12 said that a 37-year-old man is hospitalized in moderate condition at Kaplan Medical Center in Rehovot with a gunshot wound to the thigh.
Two more people were lightly injured, including a doctor who was hit by a car while tending to one of the injured individuals. Channel 13 reported that the senior doctor from Assuta Ashdod and another victim are in mild condition at Assuta.
Roadblocks were set up as police started intensive searches in the area to locate any additional injured people or other potential suspects.
