(TJV) In an unusual incident, there was a violent clash between members of the Black Hebrew Israelites and pro-Hamas Palestinians on the streets of Chicago over the weekend.

Video footage shared on Twitter depicted pro-Hamas demonstrators using Palestinian flagpoles as weapons during a street protest. The confrontations escalated as the poles broke, and protesters resorted to throwing bottles and sticks at each other, while law enforcement struggled to maintain order.

Although the exact reasons for the confrontation were not definitively confirmed due to the chaotic nature of the incident, it seems that the Black Hebrew Israelites may have shown up to show support for the Palestinians. However, the pro-Hamas protesters may have mistakenly interpreted the terms “Hebrew” and “Israelites” as references to their adversaries.

An estimated 5,000 pro-Palestine demonstrators marched in Chicago’s Loop on Saturday, demanding a ceasefire. The march was reportedly organized by the Chicago Coalition for Justice in Palestine, a self-described organization aimed at mobilizing those seeking justice in protest of what they perceive as Israel’s violence against an innocent civilian population.
Black Hebrew Israelites are an anti Jewish hate cult, who believe only Africans are real Jews.
In 2019 two Black Hebrew Israelites killed three Jews at a Kosher Jersey City grocery store, and have harassed Jewish people for decades.
