(TJV) Pro-Trump activist Laura Loomer has threatened legal action against comedian Bill Maher after he made a joke implying she and former President Donald Trump might be romantically involved. Maher’s comments came during his HBO show “Real Time” on Friday, as he mocked Loomer for suggesting that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are faking their relationship to sway voters ahead of the 2024 election.
Maher quipped, “Maybe Laura Loomer is in an arranged relationship to influence the election since she’s so close to Trump. She’s 31, looks like his type… who’s Trump sleeping with?” He added, “Because let’s be real, it’s not nobody. He’s been a playboy for too long, and it’s definitely not Melania. I think we may have found our answer.”

Loomer wasted no time firing back on social media, posting, “I should sue Bill Maher @billmaher for defamation.” The conspiracy theorist denounced the joke as a “complete and blatant lie” and accused Maher of being part of a larger “coordinated attack” by the mainstream media, the White House, and left-leaning figures to undermine her association with Trump’s 2024 campaign.

Loomer gained attention recently after joining Trump on a trip to Philadelphia, where he was set to debate Vice President Kamala Harris. She was also seen the following day accompanying Trump and his running mate, Senator JD Vance, during a visit to a New York City firehouse to commemorate 9/11. Loomer has previously stirred controversy by suggesting the terrorist attacks that claimed nearly 3,000 lives were an “inside job.”
Despite her visible presence around Trump, the former president distanced himself from Loomer, telling reporters, “I don’t control Laura. She’s just a supporter.” Trump further clarified on Truth Social, stating that Loomer holds no official position in his campaign and is merely a “private citizen.”
